Pen is a co-founder of CLP Strategies and a financial communications and media relations professional with over 20 years experience in asset management, investment banking and securities trading services.

On Wall Street, he headed up investment banking media relations in the Americas for Morgan Stanley and spent 10 years in senior communications roles at Credit Suisse.  As a Senior Vice President at Abernathy MacGregor, now H/Advisors Abernathy, he advised Blackstone Alternatives, Man Group, Hellman & Friedman, and other alternative asset managers.

Previously, he was Head of Media Relations at The Bond Market Association. He served as the Association’s spokesperson on a variety of fixed income market practice issues. Earlier in his career, he handled media strategy for the derivatives industry trade group, International Swap Dealers Association (ISDA). 

As a crisis counselor, he has helped manage a variety of litigation and reputational issues, including the IPO of Facebook and the bankruptcies of Enron and Orange County, CA. In a 2011, Pen was named “most respected” on Wall Street by the media intelligence firm, Gorkana.
