Brian is a co-founder of CLP Strategies with over 20 years of financial communications and media experience. He has advised on numerous M&A and IPO transactions, as well as in crisis and other special situations.

Brian has particular expertise in the energy, metals and mining, and asset management sectors and has worked in different jurisdictions across the US, Europe, Latin America, and Africa.

He has worked for clients including First Quantum Minerals, Pan American Silver, Gemfields, Rio Tinto, Arcelor Mittal, Global Infrastructure Partners, HSBC, and Bank of America.

Prior to founding CLP Strategies, Brian was a Partner at Maitland, now H Advisors, where he led the firm’s emerging markets practice. Before that, he was Head of the Emerging Markets and Financial Services practices at Finsbury, now FGS Global.

Before his agency career, Brian was a financial journalist. He covered international M&A for The Deal and was the Managing Editor of the Prague Post.

Brian has a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. He speaks German, French, Spanish, Czech and Russian.
